Coronavirus (COVID-19) Alert

Animal Care Centers of NYC is closed to the public except for emergencies.

Emergency walk-in hours are:

Brooklyn and Manhattan: 7 days a week, 10 AM - 5 PM
Staten Island: 7 days a week, 9 AM - 5 PM

If you have a COVID-19 related pet issue, you can also call the NYC COVID-19 Pet Hotline at (877) 204-8821.

All other services will be provided by appointment only. You can get more information online or by calling (212) 788-4000.

Animal Care Centers of NYC will accept pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and other animals kept as pets, at Care Centers for a fee. They will not pick up unwanted pets from the homes of pet owners.

If the pet cannot be adopted or placed with a New Hope Partner, it may be humanely euthanized.

The cost to surrender a pet is $10 per animal with an appointment and $35 without an appointment. This fee will be put toward the cost of your pet’s care during their stay with the Animal Care Centers.
