Coronavirus (COVID-19) Alert

All indoor pools at New York City Recreation Centers are closed to the public until further notice.

All outdoor pools are currently closed.

The following outdoor pools will reopen on July 24:

  • Bronx: Mullaly (Intermediate Pool) 
  • Brooklyn: Sunset Park (Olympic Pool), Kosciuszko (Olympic Pool)
  • Manhattan: Wagner (Intermediate Pool)
  • Queens: Liberty (Intermediate Pool), Fisher (Intermediate Pool)
  • Staten Island Lyons (Olympic Pool), Tottenville (Intermediate Pool)

The following outdoor pools will reopen on August 1:

  • Bronx: Crotona (Olympic Pool), Haffen (Intermediate Pool)
  • Brooklyn: Betsy Head (Olympic Pool)
  • Manhattan: Jackie Robinson (Olympic Pool), Marcus Garvey (Intermediate Pool)
  • Queens: Astoria (Olympic Pool),

These pools will operate from 11 AM - 3 PM and 4 PM - 7 PM, 7 days a week through Monday, September 7th.

Pools will operate at reduced capacity to support social distancing. Hand sanitizer dispensers will be available on the pool decks

Rules

  • Face coverings must be worn to enter the pool and in the locker rooms and on the pool deck
  • Face coverings are NOT to be worn in the water
  • You must maintain social distance of at least six feet while in lines, in the locker rooms and on the pool deck unless you are with a member of the same household

Through Shape Up NYC, the Department of Parks and Recreation offers free fitness classes every week at recreation centers and other locations across the five boroughs.

Expert fitness instructors teach a variety of classes including:

  • Aerobics
  • Yoga
  • Pilates
  • Zumba

No preregistration is required and walk-ins are welcome.
