New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) provides decent and affordable housing in a safe and secure living environment for low and moderate income residents throughout the five boroughs.

You can apply for public housing online or in person.

NYCHA Section 8 Applications

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is no longer accepting new Section 8 applications. If you submitted a Section 8 housing application before December 10, 2009, you can check your application status in NYCHA's Self-Service Portal.
